Come and stay for an unforgettable holiday in Casa da Palmeira

Casa da Palmeira ('the house with the palmtree') is our precious house in the Algarves. Originally, it was an authentic Portugese farmhouse that we renovated and changed into the beautiful 'Casa' as it is today. We kept most elements intact by using only natural materials and 'building around' these elements, preserving its original looks.

Our house is available for renting during the whole year. The south of Portugal offers a great season for enjoying your holidays. The spring and summer have one the highest average temperatures in Europe. Autumn is known for its second 'summer' time in september and october because of average temperatures of 25 degrees.

The subtropical winter of this part of the Algarves is comparable with a great spring in an average climate (like the Netherlands). The house lies beneath the hill which protects it against the cold northern wind.  We have firewood available and the automatic floorheating system keeps the temperature at a comfortable level.

Because the pool is covered, it is also possible to swim during the wintertime. The water temperature is averaged at 20 degrees, which is still a very nice temperature for swimming!
